Asians are Fabulous.

Pop question:
What’s hotter than a video of two Asian guys lip-synching to Backstreet Boys songs? [see an archive of their videos here]
Videos of a group of gaysian guys lip-synching and dancing to the hottest circuit dance remixes!
Meet the Mischievious Boys. A group of close friends in Sacramento, California, who have recorded some of the hottest dance videos featuring Asian men. Trust the gays to kick things up a notch to fabulous! And all the videos are edited by Joseph, “the dancer”.
See?
Everyone’s favorite seems to be Edward, but my favorite is David.
I highly recommend their videos for Madonna’s Hung Up, Kelly Clarkson’s Since You’ve Been Gone, and Whitney Houston’s On My Own. Thanks to the Princess Consuela, who told me about these videos, I have been watching and sharing these videos for these past two nights.
The honest to truth thing is, what makes these videos so good is the fact that these are videos of friends having some good-natured fun. You can’t help but see the fun they are having, and wish you were having some fun of your own.
*While there is no mention on their site as to the members’ sexuality, I am making a gross guess as to their sexual identification. After reviewing the choice of songs, attire, and comfort space between them, I came to my conclusion that they were four fabulous queens having some fun. If they might be heterosexual, I wish to be informed immediately, and I will make whatever changes necessary and adjust my gaydar.
It makes me want to cry (with joy).

Few things in life can make me want to cry. Sappy romantic comedies, an exorbitant amount of stress, and spicy noodles.
But sometimes you find one thing that does make you want to cry (with joy).
I don’t know why it took me so long to find out, but Jeremiah Cohick (of the Apple Switch ad fame. Read my blog entry about him from 3 years ago here) came out in July of this this year. Read his blog entry about his coming out, and be touched by another coming out story.
Jeremiah is a fabulous web designer and media technology extraordinaire, and I kind of followed his blog through the years after stumbling upon it a year or two ago during a night of caffeine-fueled obsessed data-mining.
You have to give the girl some R-E-S-P-E-C-T for her faith!

So Much To Catch Up On!

This time tommorow, I shall be enjoying a hefty increase to my current paycheck. I’m enjoying m regular hours, and the free time it affords me now. I mean, I even managed to go on a date last weekend!
Yes, the Queen went on a date. More on that later.
So, the frigid coldness that is December in Atlanta is just begging for me to purchase some nice warm gloves. While I do enjoy the warmth and snugness of gloves, I am not a big fan of their clunkiness. And it’s hard to choose one pair that will match 75% of your winter wardrobe.
Yes, I call it a winter wardrobe. Clothes that have been kept forgotten until the first shivers come down my spine, and I bring them out to showcase my ability to adapt to cold climates. It’s nothgin special really, just my affinity for a good jacket, color coordination (yes, you CAN wear bright colors in winter!), and the choice of iPod and case for the outfit.
Some things I need to catch up on:
- Podcasts: Sorry Omar & Alfredo! I’m so behind!
- Podcasting: Still in progress.
- Herman’s Paper: Still in progress
- Reapplication for school in the spring: Time!
- Gift lists: That fat paycheck will come in handy…
- Holiday cards: drawn and ready to be sent!
Being silly.

Now that it is Christmas season at IKEA, it’s the perfect time to try on their take on the Christmas Wreath.

Had a very busy work week, and ended with a bang of the AIDS Walk and a small get-together at Herman’s.
Two nights in a row, I ended up in Miss Q’s with nick and Herman, beating Nick on the first night in two rounds of billiards, reliving some memorable nights of rabid lesbian billiards players. Chatted it up with a Latina lesbian at the bar, and also with the Latino bartender who I actually found quite attractive. I need me a papi.
For Herman’s get-together, I made pasta carbonara with farfalle pasta, with roasted potatoes on the side. And right now I totally remembered that I had forgotten to make the avocado/lettuce/carrot/cucumber salad with the sesame/olive oil vinaigrette.
Recording the podcasting has hit some snags, namely me needing an amp for the recording setup. I will needs to invest in an iMic, I believe. the Queen’s wisdom has to be shared.
Doing the AIDS Walk, I feel weird trying to do the same things I did in Miami. Activism, education, and social gatherings have taken such a back seat in my current lifestyle. I think back and realize that maybe I am better off without some elements, despite my reluctance to let go, and that I have been given a chance to start over. Miami seems like an eon ago, and all the things might come back in a future therapy session.

Queen’s Dilemma

Two parties. One Queen.
What is one to do?
Rumblings, or is that just the Stilletos?

Hey girls,
Herman, the Asian Sensation, has inspired me to start my own podcast. While this has been an idea that has been brewing for months, it was in one of our regular get togethers that he has inspired me to quite possibly get one together, based on my most current persona of The Queen.
The Queen is the nickname Herman has given me, thanks to my inability to keep my inner fierceness bottled up while with him. Maybe it is an inside reflex to help others bring out their own inner queens, but it has the makings of a budding drag personality.
The podcast is still in the works, as I am compiling questions for a q&a segment, providing advice with a dash of my own twisted logic, and some sass. Example:
My Queen,
What shall I do when my tire goes flat, and I do not want to break my nails changing it?
Girl,
What you need to do is flag down a strapping young man, or a masculine daddy, who can get down and dirty with your car while you observe his ass from a distance. Offer what help you can, by handing him tools, and expressing your gratitude. And afterwards, you can express your REAL gratitude in the bushes next to the road.
Nadie esta por aqui,
En mi cuarto, mi vida, mi corazon.
All shall be clear now

To dispel confusion and misinterpretation, I bring you…
And a slight variation: The Christian Hanky Code. Because Queers are worth imitating.
There’s also the Twink Code.

“Are you still hanging around with the gay people?”
This definitely wasn’t a question I was expecting at 7 in the morning.
I had gone home on Tuesday to see the family up in L’ville, since I get so few opportunities to see the sisters and family. Granted, something always reminds me why I dread going home in the first place.
Mother knows that I work waay too much. Mother knows that I work too much to have an adequate social life. Mother also knows that I am struggling with some finances. And she dangles the possibility of a care-free, all-expenses-paid lifestyle if I move back home. Heck, my older brother is doing it. And sometimes yes, it does seem very, very appealing. Who wouldn’t say no to having your bills paid, things paid for, and with no need to worry when the next credit card bill was coming in?
But statements like those at 7 in the morning remind me why I left home in the first place.
She doesn’t care that I’m gay. As long as I’m not hanging around with people who help propagate, encourage, and force such a lifestyle on other people. In short, gay activists and drag queens.
These are people who encouraged me to do the sick, bad things in Miami and Boston. Which were: smoking cigarettes, drinking alcohol, dating, and having sex. From the look on her face and trickle of disdain, you would think that I had done crack cocaine, crystal meth, and participated in an orgy as the pig bottom. Make that BAREBACK pig bottom.
The first time she found out I was smoking was when she rifled through my photos in my room, found one with a cigarette in my hand, and proceeded to scream, shout, and attempt to drive some evil spirits out of me with her guilt trips.
It wasn’t friends who encouraged all this activity, mind you. I’m usually the pusher.
So yes, I have been reminded. She’s waiting right now for me to reach some sort of tipping point, so I would be forced to crawl back, and everything will be alright again. But until then, I will do what I can to prevent that, even if it means working even harder than i am today.
