the angelheaded hipster
Happy Lunar New Year! We had a nice family dinner up in Lawrenceville, and had lots and lots of food. Yay to the Year of the Bitch!
Ahem. I mean Dog.
My sister (who just turned 11) will be the recipient of a hand-picked painting set from Utrecht in Midtown. Brushes, paint, water-pail, paper, all in a small portable professional art-supplies bag.
Granted, I did originally want to get her a game, toy, or one of those things kids love to have this season, but getting chewed out by the other sister for contributing to her flunking of 5th Grade and ultimately failing to enter middle school after I brought up the idea of buying a Game Boy Micro or Game Boy Advanced kind of made me rethink my options. After much thought (and running around Lenox Square, Perimeter, and Midtown), I plopped down for the creative route, and went to my favorite art-supplies store to pick out a kit.
I had a fantabulous time going with Stephen to the High to watch the Cobra Woman (1944), an interesting study of technicolor kitsch that got the audience (and Stephen) roaring with applause. I did go out to The Mark last night, where I dished and danced with some co-workers over some nicely deserved drinks. (Bar Tab: $48. Cab Fare home: $15. Having a Friday off and enjoying it until 3 in the morning: Priceless.) I wanted to do a Mastercard line, so I couldn’t help it.
Things I managed to read/enjoy today:
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit. Quisque sed felis. Aliquam sit amet felis. Mauris semper, velit semper laoreet dictum, quam diam dictum urna, nec placerat elit nisl in quam. Etiam augue pede, molestie eget, rhoncus at, convallis ut, eros. Aliquam pharetra. Nulla in tellus eget odio sagittis blandit. Maecenas at nisl. Nullam lorem mi, eleifend a, fringilla vel, semper at, ligula. Mauris eu wisi.

Thank you so much for coming along with me to the movie! I’m so glad I had a friend along to enjoy the camp with me.
I’m glad you rocked out the beanie. It was a nice touch! (pantomimes putting beanie on head, but really cutely)
