When I feel the burn, denial is bliss.
Thursday, March 3rd, 2005 | things happen
I’m either a living floormat, or I developed the essential skills needed to survive abuse and negativity directed towards me. As I was assisting someone today during work, I was told that I needed to “take my medicine”. I do not actually remember off the top of my head that it was said, but a co-worker told me afterwards. This isn’t the first time this has happened, though. But somehow, I think I just happen to pretty much create a mindset that nothing negative was ever said. Hence the constant, agreeable smile. Or the blank stare of “I’m listening to you right now, and I’m processing all that information, but what do you mean by you thought it would be harder?”. The quizzical look is fun too, the slight facial movement of a slight eye squint and the head movement to the right to signify thought.
Maybe I just need a vacation. I spent my last two spring breaks working overtime and catching up on recorded shows and Queer as Folk. Alex wants to go to NYC for Spring Break. Maybe a few nights in some city other than Atlanta. Anybody in NYC? Some tips as to what to do? I haven’t had time off in so long, I have no idea what I can do, besides walk around town and make a pilgrimage to the SoHo Apple store.

There’s always lots to do in NYC, but what interests you? Are you looking for bars or museums? Tourist sights? Give us an idea!
I’m sure it would be easy to just look up some nice bathhouses in the area.
But then again, maybe i just want to explore. Any nice places a 20 year old can enjoy?
