Meet Stoney

There’s this boy, see, who always seems to be hanging out at Outwrite. He looks around early twenties, possibly younger, and he is always hanging out on the porch smoking a cigarette, or sitting at a side listening to a conversation by some fags his age. He is usually quite unkempt in appearance, but seems to be rocking some sort of 80’s rocker/Guns n Roses look which does little to hide his feyness. Twitchy might be the word to describe his mannerisms sometimes. He always has a bandana on his head, underneath his curls, and he always seems to have hankies by the dozen, coming out of his pockets, adorning his wrists, or around his neck.

Sad thing is, from listening to the gossip bantering with people in the bookstore cum coffeeshop, Stoney is homeless, unemployed, and has nothing else better to do, so he hangs around Outwrite, doesn’t buy anything, and uses the bathroom on a constant basis. Drug use has been mentioned, which explains erratic behaviour and lack of an attention span. He’s introduced himself to me, once, but just as quickly lost interest and moved on.

Stoney is just one of the many familair faces at the local gay bookstore.

Daily Gay Confession:
Walking with Michael, and providing commentary on the do’s and don’t’s of people’s style choices. Highlight: A Japanese girl with a Ashlee Simpson haircut, a Britney-sleaze brown felt-jumpsuit, coupled with a cow-print handbag. Some girls should just be shot.
