Grocery Shopping Like a Queen.

I realize that I am a graphic snob when I shop at places just because of their choice in graphic design and colors.

For example, when given the choice between Kroger and Publix, the choice will have to be Publix. Sure, I might be able to get better savings at Kroger, and there is a 24-hour Kroger for my convenience, but unless I am constrained for time, my idea of a pleasant shopping experience is walking through the aisles of the local Publix. Sure, it might also be 20 minutes out of my way, but I believe that if a supermarket puts the effort to make themselves look good graphically, I should make an effort to shop with them. Walking through the aisles of Publix, one can’t help but feel serene at their choice of simple white colors, and solid lines in their signs. The sans-serif fonts used exude modernity, cleanliness, and a lack of rush.

Sure, one other reason might be the clientele that Publix might attract. I feel that Publix takes those fags who might not be able to shop at their local Whole Foods. When you see the cucumbers in Publix, you know that they have not been manhandled as they would’ve been in Kroger. They are touched with care, choice, and the fickleness that a discerning queen has. Pushing my cart through the aisles, I find myself catching the eye of another customer. Publix and Whole Foods are the places that one can cruise with no shame. I mean, to admit that you cruised at the local Kroger’s is the same as admitting that you picked up a trick at the local bathhouse and brought him home. You do what you want at the bathhouse, and you leave it there.

Daily Gay Confession:
I shopped at Publix and wrote this entry. What else do you want me to confess? that I brought in 35 pounds of laundry to my cleaner’s today?

Damn! Somethings can be washed, not everything has to be dry cleaned.

I do the same thing. If a place has horrible graphics and a bunch of ugly everywhere, I won’t shop there if I can help it.

They were all to be washed. I don’t have a washing machine, and god, I do not ahve time to wash clothes on my own!
