It’s rare, but yes, I do sometimes devolve into a sputtering mess of hormones and raw, emotional feelings, not unlike high-school crushes. Every once in a while, I meet someone who just grabs my entire attention, and my heart just melts. Strange thoughts enter my head. Thoughts about being a better person. Fuzzy, warm thoughts that is so very unbecoming of a sex-pig.

So what does Stan do when such thoughts enter his head? Does he admit his Waterloo and start playing his ABBA playlist? Maybe. Does he get all giddy during instant message conversations? Maybe. Does he go to sleep all smiles and with a sly grin? Possibly. Such feelings are rare and very different, and I am left wondering what to do.

A fellow employee asked how I was able to work an almost full-time schedule every week and still go to school. I replied that I got conditioned to this growing up. Since high school, I have pretty much made myself as busy as a career person. Workaholic. just another word to describe myself. A smitten one now, it seems.
